    Diagnosis: 

    Small flies (2-5 mm), mesonotum and abdomen (also mainly pleurae) dark brown and covered with thick grey microtomentum, humeral area concolorous or yellow; costal vein broken or greately attenuated twice, basal crossvein (bm-Cu) absent or very thin, no postocellar setae and ocellar setae reduced, vibrissae or vibrissa-like setae present, no lower fronto-orbitals, 2 pairs of juxtaposed upper fronto-orbitals.
